ArcBlue Dealmaker programs leverage our wealth of experience in the negotiation, behavioural and communication skills arena, spanning over 30 years. We acutely understand the challenges today’s companies face and how improved people skills can make a real difference to business success.

Our blended learning approach suits each organisation’s needs to develop talented and confident negotiators. As well as dynamic training courses, we conduct one-to-one negotiation coaching and mentoring and undertake high level negotiations on behalf of clients.

For over 30 years ArcBlue has been at the forefront of commercial negotiation theory and practice and have developed many of the models that are seen in procurement negotiations today. Our 5-6-7 framework gives teams confidence on how to persuade others, to plan the phases of the negotiation and to recognise and use tactics against the other party. 

Negotiation Courses

Negotiation Essentials

This practical one-day workshop is aimed at delegates who are involved in negotiations and need an introduction to the skills and process in commercial negotiation.

Key elements

This workshop will equip delegates with the skills necessary to positively influence commercial negotiations in their favour.

  • Methods of persuasion and their application to influencing in business;
  • “Golden Rules” of persuasion: how to influence others effectively;
  • How to detect and deal with the other party’s attempts to influence you;
  • What are the different phases of the negotiation and what to do;
  • Objective setting
Advanced Negotiation

A two day interactive program designed to develop skills in negotiation and to improve the confidence to apply those skills. Delegates will gain a deep understanding of the phase of negotiation and will be given opportunities to practice these through video role-plays. They will receive one to one feedback on their skills.

Key elements

This program will equip experienced delegates with skills in influencing and the confidence to apply them to achieve better results in demanding commercial negotiations.

  • The negotiation process
  • Preparation and planning through the phases, including setting objectives
  • Utilise a variety of persuasion methods
  • Movement in a negotiation, how to manage your movement and persuade others to move;
  • How to detect and deal with the other party's attempts to influence you;
  • The buyer’s and supplier’s perspective on sellers and their tactics
  • Positive behavioural traits and aspects of non-verbal behaviour
Negotiation Essentials - Video role play

This two day workshop provides an introduction to the skills and process in commercial negotiation, with the second day consisting of a video role play and critique session. 

Key elements

This workshop will equip delegates with the skills necessary to positively influence commercial negotiations in their favour, as well as provide sessions to practice.

  • Methods of persuasion and their application to influencing in business;
  • “Golden Rules” of persuasion: how to influence others effectively;
  • How to detect and deal with the other party’s attempts to influence you;
  • What are the different phases of the negotiation and what to do;
  • Objective setting
  • 3 rounds of role play negotiation with video recording
  • Ability to playback and critique techniques for improvement
